    Thanks for a good article. One thing that got my attention was the comment that our kids are being conditioned not to fight back when assaulted. I recently taught a series of self defense classes to women and found that to be exactly the case. I even received comments such as: “if we are armed, won’t the criminal use our weapon against us?”

    The first thing we have to do is make our kids understand that it is OK to be aggressive in defense of your life. You do not have to be a victim and the police have no legal obligation to protect you. They will respond, but the first few minutes of any attack will likely find you fending for yourself.

    As parents, coaches, teachers, we need to change this mentality.

    Do you really mean to say in “Foundations of Freedom” that the 2nd Amendment will be a “mute” point? I think the word you meant to use is “moot”.
